Christine's Blog Templates

Templates Without Images

These templates have no images, and will load quickly for everyone. They are designed to work with Blogger's new system to give you more customization options than the templates offered by Blogger, so you have more power to create your own personal style. They're tested, work correctly, and are cross browser compatible.

PLEASE NOTE: These templates are only for blogs hosted at Blogspot or using Custom Domain. FTP blogs cannot use the new features that come with the new templates.

About Options:

  • Choose the width and number of columns of your layout. This is the basic framework of your template, and you cannot change it without editing your html/css.

    • Fixed width templates are 770px wide or less, and usually display in the center of the screen (like the page you're looking at).
    • Expandable, flexible, or fluid width templates will expand and shrink with the width of the viewer's window. They leave little space on the sides of the layout, regardless of monitor resolution. You can test the expansion while looking at the preview files by making your window smaller and larger.
  • Choose a default scheme. The schemes show different color and font options. These are all things you can change yourself through your Fonts and Colors page in your Blogger admin area. So you could purchase any default scheme and make it look exactly like another (shown on the same template)- without ever touching your template html/css.

About Payment:

Payment is through Paypal. You can use a credit or debit card, which does not require a PayPal account; money already in your PayPal account; or a bank draft, which does require a free PayPal account. I do not get your financial information, I just get the payment.

with color scheme options accessed through a menu at the top of the preview page. Javascript must be enabled, and it may try to write a cookie to your computer for the different styles to display. Links on the blog portion of these preview pages don't work correctly, they're left enabled so you can see what the links will look like. These preview files are not blog templates, and will not work on your blog. Screen shots taken with IE at 1024x768 resolution.

PhotoBlogger

My goal in designing the PhotoBlogger templates was to make your image the focus of the page. The image is meant to be near the top, with the majority of any other content below; the image can be large without causing a side scroll or poor page display; the color schemes are simple. These are fixed width templates. There are three layouts and 26 color schemes to choose from.
  • No tables. These layouts are made without tables, for faster loading.
  • Wide spaces for your images, without causing a side scroll on 800px wide or higher resolutions. Up to 750px wide for the Menu on Top layout, and up to 650px wide for the Menu on Side layouts.
  • Images automatically centered in your posts.
  • Label Menu, created with the Label widget. The label widget has been modified to create the navigation menu for the blog. You can style the color and font of the label widget independently of the other widgets, including the ability to create a 3D effect on the links with highlight and shadow. The label and blog widgets are specially designed to be where they are, so they are locked in place. There is no limit to the number of labels you can create, the top menu will form new rows if necessary.
  • Easy to change color schemes. These templates currently have color schemes made of only 3 or 4 colors, making them very easy to modify. Read more here. These templates still allow you to create every color scheme I am displaying, and many more, through Blogger's Fonts and Colors page.
  • Can be used for text or image blog entries, or a combination of both.
  • Sections into which you can place your widgets are header, banner, 3 equal width columns under the blog posts - which will not display if you leave them empty, and a full width footer- which also won't display if left empty. With the exception of the Label and Blog widgets, and the section they are contained in, the other widgets can go in all the other sections, and there are no limits on the number of widgets you can put in those sections.
