These pages include instructions for applying the template to your blog, and tutorials and tips for customizing the template to make it more personal and individual. My templates are written to maximize Blogger's Fonts, Colors, and Page Elements features, giving you a lot of customization potential. Using Color To Personalize Your Blog

The new Blogger interface allows you to change your page colors easily. I've tried to include options to change many colors, to make the templates very customizable. Anytime you want to go back to the default colors, just highlight a color option and click a link on the right side of the panel which says "revert to template default."

If you click that link the says "pop out," the color toolbar will float and a bit more of your blog design will be shown on the page, which makes it easier to work with the colors.

There are many websites which will show you many more color options than those Blogger is showing; you can do a web search for hexadecimal color codes, or hex codes. The hex codes are the six digit numbers with the pound sign in front of them. You can directly enter the hex code of any color you want to right above that "revert to template default" link.

These sites have some color schemers I like:

I highly recommend you try one of my favorite freeware programs ever, it's called CPick and you can get it from Sam Franke's web site. One of the handy things it does is grab any color on your screen and convert it to hex code. Any color from anywhere on your screen at any time. It does plenty of other nifty tricks too. I couldn't work with colors without this program.

For Photoblogging- try to keep your color scheme mellow and monotone, this will make a nice frame for your images and make them stand out, rather than competing with them for the viewer's attention.

In General- You want color combinations that look good together and are not hard on the eyes. You want contrast between the text and the background so people don't have to strain their eyes to read it. If reading or even looking at your page hurts someone's eyes or gives them a headache, they won't stay long, and they won't return.
